CONVERTIBLE Ashley, the extension from David Ashley, was born and raised on Chicago’s west side. In reference to Bobbi Humphrey he says "everything I write is centered in Blacks and Blues", bringing disparate worlds and continuums together, into a heady, yet elegant sonic lexicon. Ashley has been published in Fader, Pitchfork, Total Trash and Lyrical Lemonade among others.
